Cleaning and Maintenance

Caring for Your New Hair Piece is Easy!
The proper care of your hair replacement or extension will keep it looking like new. Most find it is best to have more than one hair replacement, not only to alternate hair styles, but to allow the proper time for cleaning and drying.

Care & Maintenance For Your Human Hair Replacement

Cleansing: To insure proper color retention, and to prevent intense tangling, be sure to use only professionally recommended products on your hair replacement.

Comb hair gently, then, using warm water, completely wet hair. Apply a dime size amount of shampoo into palm to make a lather in hands first. Run lathered hands through hair to gently remove any oils or build up from scalp and hair. Avoid vigorous scrubbing for this can loosen attachemnt or create tangles in hair.

Rinse well. This step may be repeated if neccessary.

Conditioning: Apply a dime size amount of conditioner to hands and run fingers through hair in a combing motion. Wait a minute or two, then rinse well.

Proceed with styling

Caring For Your Glamour Hair

Glamour Hair will not grow back, so all cutting, perming and coloring should be done by your professional stylist.

Cleaning Glamour Hair: Glamour Hair will only need to be cleaned about every four wearings. Use a professional conditioning shampoo for color treated hair, gently lathering into hair with your finger tips. Rinse well. Always use a conditioner after shampooing to eliminate tangles. Rinse again after conditioning. Blot out excessive water with a towel. Gently comb through Glamour Hair using a wide tooth comb. Let Glamour Hair air dry or blow dry using a low setting. Style with hot rollers or a curling iron on medium setting. When not in use, store your Glamour Hair in poly bags for protection.

Color: A perfect match is not necessary. Hair naturally has many different hues and highlights, so blend in Glamour Hair with your own hair and see how it looks. If the color is too different, have your stylist custom color it. Returning it for another shade isn't likely to give you a better match.

Curl: Setting and curling your Glamour Hair with water or styling gel is much gentler and safer than perming. If a perm is chosen, a gently perm that is specially formulated for color treated hair is recommended. To better match very curly hair, tightly braid your Glamour Hair while still wet and let dry.
